Weiner Cancels: Democrat Convention, Milwaukee

UPDATE, June 6, 2011: DEMOCRAT Weiner says with certitude the photo is of his crotch.

Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York said today he has engaged in "several inappropriate" electronic relationships with six women over three years, and that he publicly lied about a photo of himself sent over Twitter to a college student in Seattle over a week ago.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Weiner said. "The picture was of me, and I sent it."

DEMOCRAT Weiner is a liar.

He addressed the media repeatedly about the photo and he lied repeatedly.

Because of the cover-up and the lies, I think DEMOCRAT Weiner should resign immediately.

Turns out DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner won't be addressing the Democratic Party of Wisconsin's convention in Milwaukee today. Clearly, he doesn't want to be grilled.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) has canceled his speaking appearance at the state Democratic Convention on Friday night in Milwaukee.

Graeme Zielinski, party spokesman, confirmed the cancellation and said the decision was Weiner's, and that the party's invitation to him was still good.

"It's understandable, considering what's going on," Zielinski added.

Weiner, an outspoken liberal voice in Congress, has been in the midst of a controversy over a photo of a male crotch in underpants sent to a female Twitter follower of his.

...Weiner was to be one of the main speakers at the convention, which starts today at the Frontier Airlines Center. Another main speaker: Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Zielinski said Weiner "opted to stay in New York . .. with his family," and added, "We're looking forward to a visit in the future" from Weiner.

That's too bad.

Apparently, DEMOCRAT Weiner doesn't have the backbone to show his DEMOCRAT face in public. DEMOCRAT Weiner is keeping himself under wraps.

It's not as if Wisconsin Democrats will benefit by DEMOCRAT Weiner's absence. The DEMOCRAT Weiner scandal is still going to be the big story of the convention. DEMOCRAT Weiner's cancellation still keeps people talking about the scandal, his lack of "certitude" when it comes to identifying a photo of his DEMOCRAT crotch.

Usinger's should send DEMOCRAT Weiner a sausage gift box. That would be nice gesture. Johnsonville, too. And Klement's.
